...that Communities In Schools Dallas Region just launched a FAN CLUB for Young Professionals?

On February 17, 2009, Communities In Schools Dallas Region, Inc. (CISDR) held a luncheon at Lake Highlands High School, where they launched the FAN CLUB. The FAN CLUB offers young professionals, ages 22 - 35 in the Dallas region the opportunity to positively impact the lives of CISDR students by helping them remain in school, achieve academically and graduate. FAN CLUB members will support the mission of CISDR through volunteerism, advocacy, education and philanthropy. “The FAN CLUB will be easy to get involved in. It’s something that is not too time-consuming and it really impacts student’s lives.” – King Scovell, FAN CLUB Co-President

King Scovell and Loren Koziol are the Co-Presidents of the CISDR FAN CLUB. King works with Woodbine Development Corporation and Loren is a Financial Advisor with UBS Wealth Management in the Park Cities.

The FAN CLUB offers its members unique volunteer opportunities, which includes assisting with CISDR events and volunteering in CISDR schools through our Bright Kids Reading Improvement Program, ExxonMobil GEMS (Girls Exploring Math & Science) and CAP (College Academic Prep).

The FAN CLUB provides members with the opportunity to meet and connect with others interested in education, while making a positive impact in our schools and community. FAN CLUB members also have the opportunity to sponsor special events located within the CISDR geographic region.

Kickoff membership fees start at $50 for an individual and $80 for a couple. As a Fan, you can help cheer on CISDR students and your fees will help underwrite CISDR’s direct academic support and service to the students.

Young professionals – ages 22 – 35 in the Dallas region are encouraged to visit
