CISDR 25th Birthday Celebration

Since 1985, Communities In Schools Dallas Region, Inc. (CISDR) has helped students at risk of failure stay in school and graduate. To celebrate our 25th Birthday in 2010, we are planning a year-long succession of celebratory events. As part of this momentous occasion, we are proud to have Alon USA as Presenting Sponsor for all of our Birthday Events.

We are especially privileged to have Barbara Hunt Crow serve as our 25th Birthday Honorary Chair. A longstanding community leader and champion of education, Barbara is a strong advocate for CISDR and will provide considerable momentum for our birthday celebration. Ebby Halliday has graciously agreed to be the Honorary Chair for the 9th Annual Kids Come First Gala. These two dynamic women will inspire others to be engaged with CISDR and our celebratory activities.

The 9th Annual Kids Come First Gala will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Omni Mandalay in Las Colinas from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. CISDR is especially honored to have Ebby Halliday as the 2010 Honorary Chairman. This black tie event will include features hors d’oeuvres, fine dining, silent and live auctions, complimentary valet parking and music by The Plush Band. Since its inception, the Gala has raised over $1.75 million for local school children. With your support, CISDR can ensure that these children are well-equipped to become productive and contributing members of our community for years to come. Individual Patron Reservations are $250 each, and a wide variety of sponsorship opportunities are available.

The second in a series of three Dream Achievers Breakfasts, the event will take place on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 7:00 am – 9:00 a.m. at Prestonwood Country Club in North Dallas. The CISDR Dream Achievers Breakfast will create excitement and increase understanding of CISDR as the experts in dropout prevention, as attendees hear three high profile individuals share their stories about “achieving their dreams”. Individual Patron Reservations are $40 each, and sponsorship opportunities are available.

This luncheon will honor Ms. Sandra G. Chavarria, President & CEO of Communities In Schools Dallas Region. Individual tickets are $50 each, and sponsorship opportunities are available.
