CISDR 25th Birthday Celebration
Since 1985, Communities In Schools Dallas Region, Inc. (CISDR) has helped students at risk of failure stay in school and graduate. To celebrate our 25th Birthday in 2010, we are planning a year-long succession of celebratory events. As part of this momentous occasion, we are proud to have Alon USA as Presenting Sponsor for all of our Birthday Events.
We are especially privileged to have Barbara Hunt Crow serve as our 25th Birthday Honorary Chair. A longstanding community leader and champion of education, Barbara is a strong advocate for CISDR and will provide considerable momentum for our birthday celebration.

CISDR Home Tour and Italian Fair

11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Come tour this magnificent 11,814 sq ft Tuscan style home by Gatto Homes. All proceeds from the tour benefit Communities In Schools Dallas Region. This Home Tour, presented by TL Concepts, will take place on August 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stonebriar Creek Estates, 6 Stonebriar Way, Frisco. Tickets are $20 each or $30 per couple. The Home Tour will feature an Italian Fair with wine tastings, a jazz concert, an art show and Italian food.

Dream Achievers Breakfast

The second in a series of three Dream Achievers Breakfasts, this event will take place on Wednesday August 25, 2010 at Prestonwood County Club in North Dallas. This breakfast features Nancy Lieberman, Head Coach of the Texas Legends NBA Development League team, Hon. Helen Giddings, State Representative for DeSoto, and Marie Diaz, President & CEO of Pursuit of Excellence, Inc. These three dynamic women will share their stories about “achieving their dreams”. Individual Reservations are $40 each, and sponsorship opportunities are available.

As the first event in the 2010-2011 school year, the CISDR Celebrity Luncheon will feature a special guest speaker, great food, and the company of some of Dallas' media, civic and community leaders. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
