Priscilla Priscilla, pictured with CISDR Campus Manager Rey Maldonado, has been in the CISDR program for 2 years. Our campus staff built a strong relationship with the student helping her transition from high school to college. Her father was incarcerated but was released just in time to see her graduate. After graduation, Priscilla brought her father to meet with our staff and her father thanked us for watching over his daughter. She currently attends Texas Women’s University (TWU) pursuing a degree in nursing. She is also the recipient of an AT&T scholarship.

Martin Martin (on the right), has been in the CISDR program for 3 years. He was recommended to our program because of gang activity. CISDR staff developed a strong relationship with the student through one-on-one sessions, anger management and Life Skill classes. By Martin’s senior year, we were discussing and focusing on which college to attend. CISDR took him and several other students on a field trip to El Centro College, where he is now attending.
